About Greg Lowe

I am Greg Lowe, a qualified Personal trainer and have been in the industry for the past 14 years. Health and fitness has been a huge passion of mine since a young age. Throughout my school years I played a number of sports, Rugby being the main one. It quickly became a goal for me to compete at a professional level.
Over the years I have undergone many traumatic operations, some caused by playing Rugby and others I was diagnosed with. One of the main setbacks for me was being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at the age of 14. This had a huge impact on my lifestyle. Ulcerative Colitis is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease which occurs when the lining of the large intestine become inflamed. It affects 1 in every 420 people and can cause serious implications if not operated in time. After being diagnosed with this, I tried my best to carry on with my life, taking medication to deal with it. It was only 5 years ago when I decided to go through a three stage stomach operation, to become some-what “normal” again. I went through three successful operations.
After each one I remember being in excruciating pain and being unable to walk without support. Nonetheless I made the decision that I would continue with training and remain on the path to playing professionally after my final operation. I realised it would be much more difficult for me this time, with adjusting to my new diet and letting my body heal and recover, however I also knew it wasn’t impossible! After remaining consistent and motivated, I managed to compete at Tier 4 of Professional Rugby. This was a huge accomplishment for me and something I am proud of. It showed me that with hard work and commitment anything can be possible! That wasn’t the last of my operations – I’ve recently recovered from a labral tare on my shoulder and had key hole surgery, which was successful. I’ve been out for the year again, but that won’t stop me from going back and playing the sport that I love. As a Personal Trainer, I love helping and seeing others succeed.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to train a range of different clientele including Athletes, Rugby players, Fitness Model Competitors, Powerlifters, to 50+ clients and those recovering from ACL knee operations and hip replacements. Regardless of age, strength, disabilities or background, I have found that there’s no excuse to achieving results as long as you are committed. I am highly dedicated and passionate towards achieving positive results and make the effort to ensure all my clients are progressing. I put a lot of time and research into creating carefully structured exercise programme according to client needs.
I know the mental and physical demands of the body and what it needs in order to achieve optimal and life changing results.  With my guidance and training I can assure you, you will achieve results. Contact me for information or to book a consultation session.
